Switching Gears for Dinner
We canvassed a few options and then decided on something close by with a courtyard. We chose Rybi Trh and were quite pleased. For starters we had two soups:
CREAM OF DUTCH MUSSELS
and Bretagne Oysters.
Served with a freshly opened oyster
MILD FOAM OF SWEET CORN
Served with a Black Tiger Skewer and Beetroot Foam (see photo)
For main courses we went for the fresh fish from "Czech rivers and ponds:"
TŘEBOŇ AMUR FISH WITH CRISPY SKIN
Served with Barley Risotto, Fresh Marjoram and Roasted Marinated Shallots
SOUTH BOHEMIAN PIKE PERCH WITH MINCED WHITE PORCINI MUSHROOMS
Served with Wild Mushroom Béchamel Sauce, Leek Confit, Smoked Salmon Caviar
Everything was delicious although we probably should have asked to have the first fish dish deboned.
Oh-I almost forgot...for dessert we went for:
POPPY SEED DUMPLINGS WITH SOUR CHERRIES
Served with Stracciatela Ice Cream
Spectacular!
I also tried the house wine, in white, namely Moravská. We tried to walk again after dinner, but I think nine hours already today is enough. Fortunately the photo of me was taken BEFORE the meal.
