We're saying a sad farewell to Tuscany and to our friends-old and new-and now embarking on a long journey to Prague. We're taking a cab to the Florence airport and then flying to Prague via Paris, with a plane change there. Last night was the perfect Tuscan evening with a cool breeze and we enjoyed a light dinner in the main square of Cortona with the World Cup visible on a large screen. The win by Spain pleased most of the crowd. I think the Italians and Germans have each one multiple World Cups and so Italy doesn't want Germany to catch up or increase their lead, as the case may be. Today is meant to be a real scorcher so I'm hoping Prague and Berlin are more comfortable.
