The cake in today's first post is just a random photo off the Internet. We just arrived at the place, which is stunning, and they will put a candle on whatever we order (is there any doubt we will indeed order dessert?) plus they will give her a wrapped box of chocolates. Yum! (I'm assuming I get one.)
We are the only ones here now and are sitting on a rooftop terrace as if we were celebrities or royalty. It is quite something. I've ordered cold cucumber soup and Argentinian steak (the house specialty) and Kim ordered a cucumber dish as well and a traditional Czech beef dish with cranberries. Both seem more like winter dishes but we feel like beef and haven't had any yet. Right now we are having Kir Royales and soon a half bottle of red until we waddle home in the heat to watch the game somewhere outside. I hope not to be pickpocketed.
Everything was exceptional: the company, the view, the feeling of a special occasion being celebrated in style, the food and drink and the amount of the bill!
And the dessert-it was memorable! All milestone occasions should be marked in Prague at Restaurant TERASA U ZLATÉ STUDNĚ . I will always remember the dessert of coffee truffle atop chocolate cake with fresh fruit, "Jameson" jelly and wild berries sauce (in photo).
