Gluttony 1 Mark 0

I intended to eat healthily the entire day. But we had too much fun tasting wine while making pasta from scratch down to adding a raw egg to flour and kneading it until the instructor told me I was doing a bad job and smeared flour all over my face. Kim looked lovely in her new sun dress but the flour ruined the look and when I wiped it out of here ear I dislodged an earing. If you see a spare earing back, please turn it in.

It was a lovely night, especially when the delicious antipasto table was rolled out. I thought that was dinner. I was wrong, as it was followed by a pasta course, using the pasta we had just made and then some sort of meat with chocolate sauce dusted in chocolate shavings. That required a third wine. All of it was too good to pass up despite the jet lag and volume.
Just when I knew it really was time to walk away, suddenly dessert was presented: a chocolate brownie with caramel sauce and a meringue with chantilly cream. Plus the cookies home made by kids in the class while we made pasta. Tears of joy.

Breakfast is opening early for us at 6 before our private Vatican tour.

  1. Hey you two. It sounds like you are having a most fabulous time. What fun! How long are in Italy and where are you off to next? For some reason I thought you were going to Paris, Prague and Berlin. Maybe plans changed?
Keep having fun and now that I have set up a google account I will check on you regularly.
    Love,
    Betsy
