Instead of being the first person to check in, as per normal, we missed our flight as the cab was 45 minutes late! I tried a tantrum as we were only 5 minutes late and arrived 25 minutes before take off, but it didn't help. The problem at that point was having bags to check. If we only had carry on they probably would have let us board.
Fortunately there is a later flight (only 90+ minutes later) with a later connection so all that is missing is assigned seats and we will make it. We are waiting for someone to call back the gate agent with those seats and in the meantime can't officially check in or check our bags. (Update: Done.)
Not a particularly pleasant start to the next portion of our trip but I suppose another adventure! The only consequence is losing a couple of hours in Prague and unnecessary stress. Oh and maybe I've now stunk up my fancy jacket that I wore instead of packing it. I'm trying to observe and breathe...
And this gives us more time to avoid eating and try to become less full!
Ah oh-cleared security and now we have time to check out the unexpectedly nice shops including Etro and Zegna. Does this make it better or worse?
