It's a scorcher but the two of us are making our way through Siena. Right now we're having a snack (and, in my case, with a beer) in the shade near the Campo. We will check out the Duomo in a bit. Last night we went to a bat mitzvah party in a gorgeous villa in Tuscany. We were all given Venetian masks and led in group Venetian dances, one of which seemed very much like the hora. We have only two more full days in Italy after today and head to Prague on Thursday.

Whose bar mitzvah? Did you know these people or was it happenstance? It sounds very intriguing. Glad you are having such a wonderful time. It is fun to check your blog and see what you are up to. Never done this before.

One of our friends (and a work colleague) had his daughter's bat mitzvah party here in Italy so we went to it on Sun day night. They're now doing a complete tour of Italy.
