Elderly People Stroll Through Prague

Despite being tired from our journey and having had to be shown how to turn the lights on in our room (you have to put the key card into the slot and leave it there-who knew?), we decided we really should go for a stroll. The streets and squares were gorgeous and alive with people.

We didn't want a big meal but thought a bit of a snack made sense. We had noticed a bagel place in our drive into town, and in fact is is mentioned in one of the guide books, so after passing on the roasted smoked pork knee (see photo, and I suspect you'll have to look on a desktop to do so)), we settled on Bohemia Bagel. It took 10 minutes straight of drunken teens and early 20somethings exiting before we could make our way inside. One kid in fact was wearing a tee shirt with "Brandeis" written on it, but in Hebrew. Once inside we could see it was a beer-a-thon, with no bagels that time of night, so we exited. As we left the owner type guy said to me: "may I see your ID to see if you're of age--actually, go that way and follow your guide." Ouch! To punish him we settled on a slice of pizza from Giallo Rossa. It was delicious.

Bedtime now for the old fogeys.

And we do have a guide who is coming in the morning...
