Dinner and a Long Stroll

We're getting the hang of getting around here as we walked one way to the restaurant to check it out and a different way back to the hotel, and then we walked a slightly different way back there for dinner and a totally different way back to the hotel. It wasn't crowded-in fact it seemed a bit empty for a Saturday night-but I think that's because it's more of a place where locals go and at this time of year and with this heat the locals have left the city! We didn't have any alcohol and shared a chicken liver pate with marinated plum marmelade and gnocchi (no photo) and then I had a fresh fish special with mushrooms (below) and Kim had duck breast barberie with sweet potatoes cream, asparagus and the red wine sauce (above). Everything was delicious and because of the heat we shared two large bottles of water and we SKIPPED DESSERT!

In our long walk home we went pretty much all along the river, seeing all the boat cruises and drunken passengers, and ending up in the crowds along the Charles Bridge before making our way back to our hotel.
